I realized very late in life that "flirting" with the world did not pay.I remember the Master saying: "Why do you settle on infatuation and passion?Why don't you see that here Love is being served on the golden platter ofSurrender?"I did not understand him then.I thought I had enough love and already loved Him. I did not realize then that I couldn't possibly love without firstsurrendering my big ego,the ego that got easily inflated by words of praise; the ego that could notsee the difference between the real and the unreal; the ego that could not penetrate into the real nature of things.
